Cohort Report

The Cohort Report measures recommendation impact versus no recommendations, across several key metrics. It presents a graph displaying performance data for a selected metric (defaulted to "Average order value") and raw data across all metrics in tabular form.

The Cohort Report page provides insight into several different metrics that measure the performance of Recommend.

To view the Cohort Report, on the Omnichannel Personalization dashboard, go to Reports > Cohort.

Filters

Any changes to the filters require the user to apply the changes.

To apply the filters, click Apply.

To start over, click Clear Filters.

With all Algonomy reports, the date range is the first option that can be adjusted. You can specify a custom date range by selecting start date and end date, or you can select from a list of presets, such as Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.

Metrics

Users can also choose between several metrics. Changing the chosen metric will immediately refresh the chart and table.

The following metrics are tracked on the Cohort report:

  • Average order value: Total Sales Value/Total Number of Orders. The value of Sales divided by the number of Orders (see Outlier below).

  • Conversion rate: Visits-with-Purchase / Visits. The number of visits with purchase divided by the total number of visits.

  • Fraction of visits: Percentage of Recs, No Recs, and Bounce.

  • Revenue per visit: Sales / Visits. The value of Sales divided by the number of Visits (see Outlier below)

  • Total visits: A user's events split by gaps of no activity for more than 30 minutes. This is a better entity than Session because it is not device specific: a visit can cross devices.

  • Units per order: Units per order.

  • Visits with no purchases: A visit that does not include a Purchase event.

  • Visits with purchases: A visit that includes a Purchase event.

The graph displays the data for rec, no_rec, and bounce.

  • rec: There was at least one click-through on a recommendation in that visit.

  • no_rec: There were no clicks on the recs for that visit, though there could be views from Recommend, Find, or Engage.

  • bounce: Bounce visit is any visit where a user comes to a page (on the client site) and exits from that page. Bounce visits indicate the total number of visits that end without the user continuing past the first page landed on.

Each of these metrics will be displayed as either a column, line, or area chart.

Currency

On sites that use more than one currency, the user can choose to see the data associated with that currency.
